CoPayment

Copayment is a payment to share health care costs as a social responsibility for the patient. A member is required to pay co-payments where applicable.

Currently there are two levels of copayment applied under NHI scheme.

• a $2.00 copayment paid by NHI members for each consultation at the Clinic.
• There is a co-payment of 10% associated with getting these services. However, there are exemptions for:
  • the elder population (age 60 and above),
  • for pregnant mother and
  • for children under 5 years.
