Transferring to another NHI Clinic
If you need to transfer to a new clinic you must go to the nearest Social Security office and present a proof of address (utility bill) and your social security card. Once a transfer is done, you will be given an official NHI slip to present to the new clinic who will then register you.
If you wish to change your Primary Care Provider Clinic, remember this:
- You are allowed to change your Primary Care provider clinic once throughout the year depending on the availability of space at the clinic that you select.
- Please keep in mind that there needs to be a good justification for the change to take place.
- You must make a request at the Social Security office and then it will be forwarded to central office in Belmopan.
- Once you have received this authorization, you can access care from your new provider.
